Fall

Oh how that word gets me so excited! :) And no, not like trip and fall, the SEASON fall!

If you can't tell from my new blog/facebook photo, I LOVE fall.

I love the feeling of being cold outside and then going inside to get warm!

I love creating new flavors of Hot Chocolate... which I am addicted to. My favorite flavor I've come up with so far is pumpkin chocolate chip cookie...
delicious!

I love the colors of the trees!

I love the sound of the wind blowing!

I love bundling up!

I love sleeping with my window open!

I love dressing warm!

I love seeing all of the decorations on the insides and outsides of different houses!

I love turning the fireplace on at night!

I love driving with my window down!

It seems to me that I'm just all around happier when it's fall. :)

I also love that it means winter is right around the corner.... sigh... I know. I'm crazy. But Fall and Winter are my two favorite seasons.

Today was the perfect FALL day. After work and a few errands, my parents and I had dinner, then dad and I went for a Spyder ride. Which I got to drive the Spyder around the church parking lot for about... 15 minutes. My dad wanted me to drive it on the bigger roads... but... I was just a little scared. So we settled for next time. Ha ha. ANYWAY. So after driving around and totally soaking up this weather, I am now at home with a bowl full of popcorn, watching Gilmore Girls and about to put in the movie "Winnie the Pooh". Yes. I am almost 20 years old. And yes. I am excited about watching this movie.... ha ha.

I hope you all are loving fall as much as I am! :).....................and THAT'S a sip of Livi's Lemonade! :)

A Song for Sunday

So about... 11 months ago, Jacob was asked to sing for the special musical number in his sacrament meeting the Sunday after Thanksgiving. He asked if I would do a duet with him and obviously, I accepted! Jacob wanted to sing the song "Savior Redeemer of my Soul" and created his own arrangement of it.

Because I was in Idaho I couldn't really get the music from him until I went down for Thanksgiving. So with not much time to practice, one night while he was at my house, we decided to run through it for the first time. My sister and mom came in and listened while my dad, and I sight read the wonderful masterpiece that Jacob had created.

My sister just "happened" to have a video camera with her and recorded it without us knowing.. Ha ha. Well, since it was the first time I had heard it, or sung it, there of course were some rough parts... BUT, at this point in time, I am so grateful she recorded it.

Since it is Sunday, this will be my spiritual thought for you today. Ha ha. But before you listen, promise not to judge. Trust me, I understand how rough it is. But, it's still one of my favorite videos at this point in time. :)

The day before we were supposed to sing, a HUGE storm blew over Utah and Idaho which caused the state line to close on Sunday. With that information, I had to go back to Idaho that day in order to be back for classes on Monday, and was not able to sing with him in sacrament. He still sang this song, he just made it a solo, and I heard it was wonderful. :)

I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday! Now I get to go teach my sunbeams about music! :)

NYC

*sigh* :)

It's been a crazy last 2 months. With the show, finishing school, my cousin's ATV accident, "work", and just trying to find time to do anything. Ha ha.

I'm really sad that Little Women is over. Being a part of a musical is so much fun, but once it's over,
 it's over.
And all the relationships that you just spent 2 months building, and all the friends you've just made,
vanish.
Not by choice, but because everyone has to go back to their normal lives. And that makes me sad. I made some VERY close friends these past two months, and I'm going to try my hardest to keep those friendships for a long time.

Theater is wonderful. :)

So because the show is over, my parents, sister, and I just spent the last week in New York. And BOY was it needed! We slept in everyday, and we literally shopped till we dropped. One of the days we were shopping at Macy's when we noticed that there was a purple carpet and canopy being set up outside the store and TONS of NYPD.  So besides the fact that it was obvious someone famous would be walking into our midst in the next while, because of the PURPLE carpet there was a chance it was either Justin Bieber, or Taylor Swift. Both I would have been more than fine with seeing. Turns out it was TAYLOR! So we waited outside for just a few minutes (15 to be exact) and lo and behold, I was about 15 feet away from her and we got some good pictures. :) So that was fun!

So besides shopping, ha ha. What else is there to do in New York?? OH YEAH!
BROADWAY!!!!!!! :)

We were able to see FIVE shows. :) All of which were incredible!

Tuesday night we saw "Anything Goes" which Sutton Foster {Jo from Little Women} was staring in. BUT of course... she was sick. So aside from my deep disappointment... Emily Gilmore {from Gilmore Girls} ended up being in the show and it was fun to see her!

Wednesday night, Elaine saw "Marry Poppins" an ALL time favorite of mine, and since we had already seen that, we decided to go see Bernadette Peters in "The Follies". And BOY is she talented. It was wonderful to watch her perform.

Thursday night we saw our very very favorite show in the whole world. "Wicked". Need I say more??? I laughed uncontrollably, I cried like nobodies business during For Good {even thought I knew the ending}, and our Elphaba sounded and looked EXACTLY like Indina Menzel. Spectacular show. I want to live in Oz. I seriously would love to hop on a plane every month to see that show.. if only I had the money.

Friday night we saw "Memphis" which I had never heard of before, but it was amazing. I will definitely be buying the soundtrack. I want to be black in my next life. Wonderful talent in that show.

Saturday we were lucky enough to get into "War Horse" and we LOVED it. It won best play at the Tony's this year and it was Phenomenal. Absolutely wonderful. I'm usually not a play person, but I must say, this felt like a movie and it was just magnificent. It definitely ranks up next to "Wicked". It's a MUST see.

Overall it was just a wonderful vacation. Also, if you ever want to know just how out of shape you are, visit New York. Time to hit the gym! I sure have some work to do.... :S

One of the main things I love about going on vacations is coming home. Every time we get off the freeway I realize just hoe blessed I am to live where I do. I LOVE the mountains, the grass, the peacefulness, just everything about Utah. I'm grateful we don't live in a city of skyscrapers that make you feel like a who. I love where we live.

I was also able to see my cousin Clare today who has been improving so much. I love her. She is such an amazing person. It's fun to visit her. I love visiting her. Today Elaine went down to cut her hair so naturally I went with. It was fun to see her, and hear her voice finally! Her sense of humor is definitely still there. I look forward to many more visits with her. I'm am so grateful that she and her husband Kris are still with us. They are miracles.

Well I am going to go pick up my hamster and then go for a run in this wonderful fall air. And when I say run I mean walk up around the park and come back home... ha ha. But Do you not LOVE fall? My favorite season. :) Bring on my favorite 3 months of the year! Woohoo! :)

Love you all!! And I'll write SOON. Promise...............and THAT'S a sip of Livi's Lemonade! :)

I am the worlds WORST runner.... but I WILL run!!! I WILL!!!!

G double O D-good! :)

Was General Conference not amazing? I love conference. I love hearing from our prophets and feeling the spirit. I wish it was longer than 8 hours.... or that I was a guy and could participate in priesthood session... ha ha just kidding. And of course, I'm super excited just as everyone else is for the late Provo Tabernacle to become a temple... I secretly wish it was done already... ha ha.

So this week is closing week of Little Women, BOOOOO..... and I am sad. It's been so much fun to be able to be in this show once again with these amazing people. I'm sure my head will be the only part of me that is ready for the show to end... For some reason it doesn't like the 80 bobby pins and hair piece I have to wear every night... and my face will be equally share a sigh of relief when I no longer have to put on stage make-up and eyelashes anymore.

Also last night at the show, John Brooks proposed to the love of his life who just so happened to be one of my friends from high school, Lex. It was so fun to be a part of it and help plan it back stage. It was SO cute and so exciting! :)

But despite the fact that I really am sad about this week ending, there are also some very exciting things happening for our family this week! This weekend is stake conference and I'm excited about that, so along with a session of conference on Saturday night and the last show, my nephew Sam is getting BAPTIZED that morning! :) I'm excited, This will be my 5th niece or nephew to be baptized and it's so much fun to share this special day with them! I will definitely post pictures.... if I remember a camera... ha ha :)

So because I will probably be depressed after Sunday because I won't know what to do with my life since I've been at the Scera everyday since August, I think I just might catch a red eye flight to New York on Monday with my parents and my sister.... that's right, you may have read my post a few months ago about how excited I was to go to the big apple. Well, the day is FINALLY HERE! ONE WEEK from today!! I can't WAIT! Hopefully the leaves are starting to change over there... I want it to feel like fall when I walk around centeral park! :)

ANYWAY, I hope you all have wonderful days, I've got to head off to work now, so I'll {hopefully} write later this week. Love!
